Avatar Generator - 15 Trillion Combinations!

Posted by noblemaster | Development, Interactive | Sunday 15 June 2008 2:51 am

The king’s Avatar New Aevum Obscurum 2.6.18 includes an avatar generator for user accounts. From now on all accounts are identifiable not only by username but with a custom avatar. The avatar generator includes male and female heads, hairs, hats and many many other components; currently fifteen trillion combinations are supported, give or take a few!

The actual avatar images were drawn by Mei-Li Nieuwland aka Liea. Liea did an excellent job creating attractive avatar components for both male and female heads.

Aevum Obscurum - Version 2.6.15

Posted by noblemaster | Development | Tuesday 11 March 2008 11:38 pm

Version 2.6.15 is out and includes a major GUI overhaul. The chat panel has undergone changes allowing for multiple chat channels. There are fixes/bugfixes for various annoyances. The Europe map has been updated to match the interface: bluer water and brighter colors.

It all comes down to making AO prettier, so you don’t have to be ashamed of playing an ugly game in front of your friends!

Aevum Obscurum Revenue for 2007

Posted by noblemaster | Status | Monday 4 February 2008 7:15 pm

Let’s welcome the two participants in this blog entry: income and expenses. Turns out, Aevum Obscurum generated about US$2300 gross income in 2007. This includes both membership fees and advertisements where membership fees pose the majority (about 90%).

There wasn’t actually any profit being made. Game server costs run about US$120 per month. That includes a root server and web server. Also, 5% of the actual gross income includes fees imposed by the various financial institutions. Furthermore, some of the money (~US$150) has been given out as tournament prizes. Also not considered are software and graphics acquired as well advertisements paid.

Basically, the profit comes to US$0

Noble Master Games thanks all its players for the moral and financial support received during 2007. :-)

Progress Report - tiicoon

Posted by noblemaster | Development, Status | Thursday 3 January 2008 5:23 pm

Development of tiicoon is fully underway! chanfan (*) is responsible for all the pretty stuff, while the king (**) is writing the code that eventually puts it all together - we’ll see. Thanks to chanfan’s efforts, it at least looks great so far!

Current tiicoon code progress: Total Lines of Code: 27922

Please note, that those 27922 lines of code do not include comments and line breaks. Including comments and line breaks, the total is about twice as much: ~56000 lines of code. Considering a book with about 50 lines of text per page, we are on page number 1120 and counting…

Aevum Obscurum in comparison is comprised of 58997 lines of code. The total page count comes to over 2000! Still half-way to go for tiicoon.
